Diana joined The Arc of the Capital Area in October 2013 as Manager of Case Management Services before becoming Director of Agency Services in October of 2015. Diana has over 15 years’ experience as a program manager for statewide intellectual and disability (I/DD) services on the island of Oahu, Hawaii where she specialized in developing therapeutic programs and crisis shelters for the I/DD population, conducting trainings and managing multiple programs on all islands. During her time in Hawaii she collaborated with The Arc of Honolulu and The Arc of Kona, among other nonprofits, on crisis network solutions for the I/DD population. Diana also spent a year on the Big Island of Hawaii as an ER/forensic and medical social worker. After moving back to Texas in 2013, she realized that community nonprofit services was where she felt most at home, and moved to Austin to work for The Arc of the Capital Area. Diana received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Hawaii, Manoa with a concentration in mental health.
