Rise Funding

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and through use of the Relief in a State of Emergency (RISE) funding from the City of Austin, The Arc of the Capital Area will be providing Direct Financial Assistance and Direct Relief Assistance to eligible individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities and their families who qualify for temporary, immediate and equitable-focused direct services and financial assistance.

You qualify for RISE funding through The Arc if:

#1 You or your dependent has the following diagnosed developmental disability:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Chromosome abnormalities such as trisomies
  • Epilepsy
  • Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders
  • Fragile X Syndrome
  • Genetic disorders
  • Hearing Loss
  • Intellectual Disability
  • Learning Disabilities – diagnosed before the age 21
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Spina bifida
  • Tourette Syndrome
  • Traumatic Brain Injury – diagnosed before the age 21
  • Velocardiofacial syndrome
  • Vision Impairment

#2  You and/or your family have been financially impacted by COVID-19

#3  Resident of the City of Austin or Travis County
