Throughout the year, The Arc of the Capital Area brings our community together through a variety of meaningful and engaging special events. These gatherings not only celebrate the talents, achievements, and creativity of the individuals we serve, but they also play a vital role in sustaining the programs and services that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across Central Texas.
Our special events range from elegant celebrations to vibrant art showcases and community-centered fundraisers. Signature events include the annual Gold Star Gala, an inspiring evening that honors community champions while raising critical funds for our programs, as well as our Gallery Sales, which create opportunities for the public to connect with our artists, support their work, and experience the power of inclusive creative spaces.

5/8/26- Community Gallery Sale
Join us for an unforgettable evening in collaboration with Divine Canines, a Therapy
Dog Services organization. A portion of every purchase made during this event
contributes to supporting Austin-based artists with intellectual and developmental
disabilities and ensures the availability of free Therapy Dog services in Central Texas.
